So here I am - blogging now...
I finally got around setting up my
Twitter account and I have discovered the highly enjoyable social component of
Instagram besides just using the app to edit pictures ;)
Both apps offer some serious competition to the omnipresent world of
Facebook, but let's face it, Facebook is still the most convenient tool of self-delusion and self-promotion...
So, blogging now is just really the next step to fulfill my social obligations to share some more of my inside world with the outside world.
I will do it gladly, reluctantly, vehemently and sometimes wonderingly... nothing is as cathartic as writing.
A few years ago I ran a blog on
Yoga Journal following Judith Lasater's book
"A Year Of Living Your Yoga - Daily Practices To Shape Your Life" where I shared experiences that got triggered, excavated & remembered while reading Judith's daily entries, that have definitely shaped my life. Being an active Yoga instructor and avid Yoga practitioner at the time, I thought it was only prudent to live my yoga as well and be honest about it. As teachers were are often time revered as gods/goddesses and despite my yoga name being 'YogaDea' I was (and still am) rather human with plenty of flaws and dark sides to my personality to contend with. "Issues" as society might want to call it. [insert your choice of humor here]
It looks like YJ is under construction right now (at least the Community UI is) so I will try later to gain access to my blog entries there. I wouldn't mind meeting my younger self again and see where I'm at now. Perspective is often times what we need most to heal and move on.
Besides practice, of course. Persistence, patience and practice, practice, practice...
